Regulation of myocardial growth and death by GSK-3

Description: PUBLIC HEALTH RELEVANCE: Our study will elucidate a novel mechanism of posttranslational modification of PPARα by GSK-3α mediating the metabolic derangement and diastolic dysfunction in the heart in response to obesity and insulin resistance. The study will provide an important clue to alleviating cardiac dysfunction in patients with metabolic syndrome.
