Elucidating the Mechanisms of Translational Approaches to Enhance Recovery of Aged Muscle
Description: PROJECT NARRATIVE Impaired recovery from skeletal muscle disuse in aging results in heightened risk of disability and falls contributing to decreased healthspan. During the F99/K00 phases, I will study the mechanisms of novel therapeutic compounds and cellular interactions to promote muscle recovery in aged mice. This proposal will be guided by a panel of muscle aging experts and training experiences across various disciplines and institutions to promote my training in muscle aging research.
