Mechanistic Understanding for the Role of Lin28b in Pancreatic Cancer Progression
Description: Pancreatic cancer is the most lethal adult malignancy in the US due in large part to the propensity to metastasize. Our previous work has implicated Lin28b as a major developmental gene involved in the progression and metastasis of pancreatic cancer. This project aims to mechanistically characterize the role of Lin28b in pancreatic cancer through model systems and from analysis of human blood and tissue from pancreatic cancer patients.
