Vision Research Core
Description: Overall – Project Narrative The Vision Research Core Grant (VRC) enhances the NEI R01 funded research programs of 25 investigators plus more than 10 other vision scientists at the University of Washington who work to characterize fundamental mechanisms of the healthy visual system and how disease affects these mechanisms. The VRC accomplishes this by providing services, shared equipment, and technical expertise that are not available and cannot be obtained through individual grants. The core promotes collaborations among members of the vision science community at the University of Washington and others worldwide.
