Targeting ER-mitochondrial calcium signaling to promote healthier aging

Description: Project Narrative Mitochondrial dysfunction associates with the majority of age-dependent pathologies, including Alzheimer’s disease, cardiovascular disease, diabetes and cancer. This proposal aims to identify new strategies in bolstering mitochondrial function later into life, thus promoting public health by targeting a common, underlying cause of diverse forms of age-onset disease.
