Orbitrap Exploris 480 Basic System
Description: Project narrative In this proposal, we request a Thermo Scientific™ Orbitrap™ Exploris 480 mass spectrometer that will be installed and utilized in the Proteomics Core at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. The Proteomics Core has serviced just in the last year a rapidly increasing number of NIH funded investigators, including 30 laboratories at Einstein and 18 external collaborators to date. At the end of 2020, the only mass spectrometer available in the Core for these type of proteomic projects, a Thermo Scientific™ Orbitrap™ Velos, will no longer be serviced by the vendor due to its old age, so it urgently requires to be replaced.
