Aging as a Risk Factor and Target for Prevention of Liver Cancer
Description: PROJECT NARRATIVE – OVERALL The incidences of liver cancer are increasing and disease outcome is poor. Consequently, there is an urgent need for new therapies and better preventive strategies. As age is a major risk factor for liver cancer, this PPG will investigate the mechanisms underlying age-dependence of liver cancer and use the knowledge gained to test candidate early detection and preventative approaches.
