Biological Underpinnings of Socioeconomic Differentials in Health and Mortality

Description: Project Narrative This research will provide novel information about how socioeconomic status “gets under the skin” to produce differential health and mortality. It will provide information about biological mechanisms associated with adverse socioeconomic circumstances that are also linked to poor health and mortality. These include a wide range of physiological indicators, immune system functioning, epigenetic, molecular and cellular indicators.
