Can Senolytics Improve the Aged Response to Viral Infection
Description: PROJECT NARRATIVE The overall hypothesis that we will be addressing in this proposal is that senescent cells play a causal role in the impaired response to influenza infection that is seen with increasing age. To do this, prior to influenza infection we will treat aged mice with senolytic drugs to delete senescent cells and assess immunological and functional outcomes.
