Hand sensorimotor function and cognitive decline in healthy older adults and those with MCI

Description: This research is to understand the mediating effects of hand sensation on the association between hand motor function and cognitive performance both in healthy older adults and in those with mild cognitive impairment (MCI), including the clinical significance of a hand sensorimotor intervention in MCI older adults and its cost-effectiveness. The results of this study will provide new insights into aging research for the early screening of decline in cognitive function in older adults and for preventing the progression from MCI to later stages in rehabilitation settings.
