Pathogenic role of epigenetic regulator KDM5, a Histone H3 Lysine 4 demethylase in laminopathies
Description: Current therapeutic regimes for laminopathies are inadequate for long-term mitigation of phenotype. We have identified KDM5 as a potential target based on its dysregulation in human laminopathies and mouse models of laminopathies. Our study will clarify the role of KDM5 in cardiac dysfunction in laminopathies and may pave way for future targeting of KDM5 to alleviate Heart failure in laminopathies.
