Clinical Research Sites for the MACS/WIHS Combined Cohort Study (MACS/WIHS-CCS)

Description: The Bronx Clinical Research Site (CRS) will support the Combined Cohort Study (CCS) to understand and advance the study of comorbidities associated with HIV infection and its treatment, providing leadership in studies of cardiovascular disease, HPV, and metabolic conditions of aging. We will continue to follow our large numbers of well-characterized women currently enrolled in the Bronx Women's Interagency HIV Study, as well as recruit primarily racial and ethnic minority men and women with or at-risk for HIV to reflect the NYC HIV epidemic, and allow us to investigate the impact of age, sex, race/ethnicity, and health disparities on HIV-related comorbidities and HIV disease progression across the lifespan.
