Training in Host-Pathogen Interactions
Description: The current SARS-CoV-2 pandemic has demonstrated that our ability to understand new infectious diseases and to rapidly develop responses will depend on the advanced training that our current graduate students receive. Meeting this challenge will require not only research expertise, but also translational, bioengineering, policy, and science communications skills. Our HPI trainees will receive exceptional multi-disciplinary training in host-pathogen interactions in all these areas to prepare them to meet these future challenges in the public health arena.
