Engineering motile DNA-based nanorobots for specific and selective cell recognition
Description: Nanorobots are engineered for fluid navigation and complex tasks like delivering medical agents. Achieving precision in cell recognition is crucial to distinguish diseased cells from healthy ones and avoid side effects. The challenge lies in integrating motility and precise cell recognition within nanorobot design. This project proposes using synthetic DNA as a building block, offering unprecedented control over architecture and functional components, including cell recognition elements. By strategically arranging these elements, the nanorobots can leverage motility to precisely recognize cells. This innovative approach holds potential in cancer nanomedicine, immunotherapy, and regenerative medicine, positioning nanorobots as vital tools in precision medicine.
