Molecular Mechanisms Underlying Cell Type-Specific Vulnerability in Huntington’s Disease

Description: Project Narrative Age-related neurodegenerative diseases such as Huntington’s disease are devastating disorders for which there are no cures or effective therapeutics. A better understanding of the drivers of these diseases’ underlying pathological mechanisms will lead to better therapeutic targets. The overall long-term goal of this project is to perform cell type-specific transcriptional studies of Huntington’s disease-relevant cell types to identify and then causally test driver genes and pathways.
