Rapamycin as a potential treatment for succinate dehydrogenase deficiency
Description: Rapamycin is an FDA-approved drug that with potential as anti-carcinogenic and pro-longevity treatment. However, the efficiency of the treatments is impaired by the ability of the cells to become resistance to its benefits. With the help of undergraduate and master students, this research would lead to a better understanding of the metabolic response mediating the resistance to rapamycin to improve the efficiency and universality of the treatment.
