The Role of Enhancer of Zeste Homolog 2 in Cellular Senescence
Description: PUBLIC HEALTH RELEVANCE: Recent evidence suggests that cellular senescence, an irreversible growth arrest, may be involved in organismal aging processes. Age is a large risk factor for many debilitating chronic diseases, and understanding the mechanisms of cellular senescence is expected to lead to therapies to improve human health span (years of healthy living). This proposal will examine the role of epigenetic changes in regulating cellular senescence.
