Integrated understanding of protein function regulated by mucin-type O-glycans
Description: 粘液の主成分であり、癌、炎症性疾患等でその構造変化を生じることが知られているムチン型糖鎖の生理機能は、未だ不明な点が多い。ムチン型糖鎖の合成酵素C1galt1およびそのシャペロンcosmcの組織特異的ノックアウトマウスを作製し、表現型解析をおこなうことによりその生理機能を明らかにする。また、その原因となるムチン型糖鎖キャリアタンパク質において、糖鎖欠損による分子局在や挙動の変化を検証する。
