Description: Relevance to Public Health The identification, recruitment, selection, and mentorship of scientists from diverse backgrounds to conduct research on Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Dementias (ADRD) (i.e., AD-RCMAR Scientists) and to launch their independent research careers will enhance the diversity of the aging research workforce. The work of the AD-RCMR Scientists and the San Diego Alzheimer’s Disease Resource Center for Minority Aging Research will promote critical advances in our understanding and ability to target multilevel factors and interventions to address ADRD inequities among Hispanics/Latinos, limited English proficient (LEP) and refugee communities.
