Description: SIRT1は長寿に関連する遺伝子である。我々はSIRT1に関連して老化関連タンパクとして働くPrl2c3を同定した。このタンパクはホルモンであるプロラクチンと似た構造をもち、皮膚から分泌されて全身に作用し、皮膚老化や肥満を引き起こす原因となっている可能性がある。本研究では、このPrl2c3と皮膚老化や肥満との関連、その作用機序を明らかにする。これによって、肥満や生活習慣病の指標となる血液検査マーカーの開発、あるいや肥満や老化を抑制する薬剤の開発につながる可能性がある。
