Enhancing Leadership Capacity to Mentor Scientists in Translational Behavioral AD-Related Research (K07)

Description: Project Narrative The K07 leadership award will coalesce a network of renowned investigators to tackle pressing adverse sleep-related CVD and brain health outcomes in a diverse aging population, with a focus on those with Alzheimer’s disease. It will also address a critical deficiency in the academic workforce by mentoring junior scientists to pursue careers in translational behavioral research and to become effective mentors. This will have a strong impact in increasing the academic workforce in sleep and ethnogerontological research, thus expanding capacity to promote healthy aging.
