Investigating the biological mechanisms and protective factors underlying the effects of adverse childhood experiences on mental health in young adulthood
Description: 小児期逆境体験（Adverse Childhood Experiences: ACEs）は、多くの精神疾患、加齢性身体疾患、早期死亡を予測する。この生物学的機序は殆ど分かっていないが、慢性炎症の関与が注目されている。また、近年測定技術の進歩によりACEsが早期老化と関連することが明らかとなった。本研究は、ACEsが慢性炎症による早期老化を介して、若年期の精神不調に繋がるという仮説を検証する。方法として、大規模出生コホート参加者である若年成人を対象にデータ収集、解析を行う。さらに本研究では、保護因子として、抗炎症作用や神経保護効果を持つ微量リチウムに注目する。
