Probing relationships between DNA methylation and cellular senescence with high-throughput CRISPR-based epigenetic editing

Description: PROJECT NARRATIVE As organisms age, their cells acquire broad changes in the epigenome, which are alterations around the genome that can impact cellular function. Our project seeks to understand how specific aspects of these epigenomic changes directly influence processes associated with aging. This could establish new methods to address a wide range of aging-related and other disorders.
