Prevalence and impact of cerebral anatomical variations: a risk factor for cognitive decline?

Description: PROJECT NARRATIVE The proposed research is relevant to public health because it investigates a potential new risk factor for cognitive decline. Upon completion, we will understand the impact of a specific cerebral anatomical variation on cerebral perfusion, brain structure, and the association with cognitive function. The project is relevant to NIH’s mission because it will provide fundamental knowledge about brain health in humans and reduce disability associated with cognitive impairment.
