Slowing down ageing-related diseases
Description: What causes the house of cards to collapse as we age? Wallenberg Scholar Thomas Nyström is seeking the answer by examining how different parts of DNA in the cell communicate with each other. His research aims to map how various parts of our cells progressively collapse during ageing. His work may pave the way for new drugs for diseases such as Alzheimer’s and Huntington’s.
