Regulatory role of APA in pulmonary fibrosis during aging

Description: PROJECT NARRATIVE Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF) is a prevalent and deadly aging-related disease that is characterized by chronic, progressive, and irreversible fibrosis. In this proposal, an RNA regulation mechanism through a molecule named Nudt21 will be linked to STAT3 activation and the pathogenesis of pulmonary fibrosis in aging. This project can ultimately lead to discovery of new targets for the treatment of fibrosis in IPF patients.
