Expanding the Normative Sample of BRAINscreen

Description: The Alzheimer's Society of Canada recently reported that over 500,000 Canadian are currently suffering from dementia. In less than 12 years, this number is predicted to increase by 66%; thus, affecting almost one million Canadians. These statistics are even more pronounced in Canada's Indigenous populations wherein rate have been noted to be more than double the standard. It is hypothesized that this higher prevalence in Indigenous communities is due to a lack of local health resources and living in remote or rural areas. This study proposal will examine a Web-based cognitive screening tool called BRAINscreen to help detect people who are at risk for Alzheimer's Disease
