Center for Seniors Uniting Nationwide to Support Health, INtegrated care, and Economics (SUNSHINE)
Description: Challenges facing aging populations include fragmented systems, where healthcare and social services fail to operate cohesively. SUNSHINE is designed to disrupt this fragmentation by coordinating efforts across systems, targeting modifiable factors such as care coordination and public health infrastructure, while advancing resilience-focused solutions. Through interdisciplinary research, collaboration, and robust mentoring programs, SUNSHINE aims to build a more integrated and resilient system while training the next generation of scholars to enhance the well-being of older adults with complex health needs and their families and communities.
