Research Training Program in Psychiatric Epidemiology
Description: Project narrative Psychiatric epidemiology, a core science of public mental health, is critical to development of prevention, intervention, and translation efforts to improve population mental health. For 50 years, the Psychiatric Epidemiology Training (PET) program at Columbia University has advanced scholarship, science, and training in psychiatric epidemiology. Through balanced growth of historical legacies and new intellectual resources, we will continue to grow this highly successful program, one of only a few of its kind in the US, to prepare the next generation of scholars and change-makers to address critical challenges among those with mental illness across the globe.
