Biology of Aging Oral Health and Anti-aging Intervention in a Non-human Primate Model
Description: Narrative Delineating the mechanisms that drive changes in oral health with aging are a challenge with existing experimental models. In this exploratory research proposal, we outline the development of the common marmoset as a novel non-human primate model of oral health aging. In addition, we use a cohort of marmosets undergoing an anti-aging intervention as an attempt to initiate translational efforts towards improving geriatric oral health in human populations.
