Facrication of Vascularized Bone with New Bone Substitute Materials
Description: Despite the rapid advance of regenerative medicine, the treatment of large bone defects is a challenge. The study was designed to fabricate the cultured bone composed of multipotent progenitor cells, vascular endothelial cells, and epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG)-modified gelatin for contributing the above therapy. We obtained the following findings: (1) mechanisms related to the interaction between EGCG and gelatin, (2) bone forming ability of combinatory use on adipose-derived stem cells and EGCG-modified gelatin, (3) co-culture condition of mesenchymal stem cells and umbilical vein endothelial cells.
