Development of a Home-Based Intervention Program for Preventing Cognitive Decline Through Dual-Task Activities Integrated into Daily Living
Description: We developed a six-month home-based intervention integrating cognitive tasks into meaningful daily activities for 15 older adults. Tasks included calculation, memory, and verbal fluency, paired with daily routines like gardening and cooking. All participants completed the program safely. Significant improvements were observed in memory scores, depressive symptoms (CES-D), and social functioning. A non-randomized trial confirmed effects, suggesting feasibility and potential for cognitive decline prevention.
