Enhancing Geroscience Scholarship and Faculty Development to Minimize Frailty and Maximize Healthspan
Description: The primary objective of this NIA K07 Academic Leadership Career Award is to support Dr. Troen’s efforts to enhance aging and geriatrics scholarship at the University at Buffalo. This will help to protect his time and effort to build the infrastructure and mentorship environment for geroscience investigator faculty development and related education and research at University at Buffalo. This includes growing and strengthening the Center for Successful Aging so that it becomes nationally recognized for its focus on Minimizing Frailty and Maximizing Healthspan, with the goal of ultimately developing interventions to enhance quality of life in the older population.
