Functional roles of FGF23/alpha-Klotho system in the regulation of aging in the hypothalamus
Description: 我が国は超高齢化社会を迎え、社会全体として老化と向き合う時代となっている。個体の老化は、摂食量の減少や基礎代謝能の低下など様々な視床下部機能と関連した身体的・行動的な変化を惹起するが、視床下部と個体の老化の関連性については未だ不明な点が多い。本研究では、抗老化遺伝子であるαKlothoとそのリガンドであるFGF23の視床下部における機能を解明し、視床下部を介した個体の老化メカニズムの解明を目指す。
