Human Retinal Imaging Biomarkers for FTLD-Tau in Relation to FTLD-TDP and Nonamnestic AD

Description: Project Narrative The proposed research is relevant to public health because the development of retinal imaging as a biomarker for frontotemporal degeneration (FTD) pathology will enable proper enrollment of these patients into clinical trials testing mechanism-based therapies, thereby greatly improving the chance to find a treatment for these patients. Thus, the proposed research is relevant to the NIH’s mission to enable discoveries that will improve human health.
