UTMB Claude D. Pepper Older Americans Independence Center
Description: The University of Texas Medical Branch Claude D. Pepper Older Americans Independence Center (UTMB OAIC) will improve functional independence in older people with chronic disabling conditions by addressing how sex, education, income, and social and environmental factors affect their health. The UTMB OAIC will use its highly productive and integrated research and training infrastructure to ignite new research, develop novel methodologies, support externally funded research, develop and support new collaborations with other programs and train the future leaders in aging research and geriatrics.
