Preventable Deaths Due to Delirium

Description: PUBLIC HEALTH RELEVANCE: This project will examine the contribution of delirium to deaths during hospitalization and up to one-month follow-up. In particular, this study will shed much-needed light on preventable deaths due to delirium, helping us to identify risk factors to target for intervention as well as high-risk individuals to include in future studies. Ultimately, we hope that this work will improve clinical outcomes from delirium and enhance patient safety in the hospital.
