Establishment of diabetes prevention network through community health support pharmacy

Description: This study examined the usefulness of community pharmacists being involved in the prevention and early detection of diabetes. Community residents with HbA1c levels of 6.0% or higher were identified by establishing an HbA1c measurement system at community pharmacies. HbA1c levels were significantly low after encouraging them to visit medical institutes. Awareness of lifestyle improved by intermittent scanend continuous glucose monitoring (isCGM) in community residents without diabetes. Glucose indicators significantly improved by isCGM in community residents with prediabetes. Instruction of community pharmacists for the residents changed by measuring glucose with isCGM.
