Prevent frailty by elucidating dental factors attributable to nutritional decline and reduced dietary diversity
Description: The results of the investigation into the effects of nutritional guidance and rehabilitation intervention on oral function, food diversity, and nutritional status showed improvements in oral function, including tongue coating score, oral diadochokinesis (/Pa/), and tongue pressure. Additionally, the food intake diversity score increased. However, no significant improvement was observed in nutritional status.Peko Panda training was considered to be effective in a short period. Furthermore, guidance aimed at improving food diversity, which is often overlooked, contributed to rapid improvements. Since most participants had only mild oral function decline, the short-term rehabilitation effects on oral function were limited.
