Orbitrap Eclipse Mass Spectrometer for Northwestern University Neuroproteomic Collaboration Hub
Description: PROJECT NARRATIVE The ability to determine changes in protein abundance, turnover, and modifications represent a critical step towards identifying the molecular mechanisms underlying human diseases and disorders. By obtaining this Orbitrap Eclipse mass spectrometer a core group of investigators will be able to address important biomedical questions at an unprecedented level and transform their research programs. Ultimately, this new instrument will provide the necessary analytical power to detect and quantify these changes, elevate our knowledge of disease mechanisms, and significantly accelerate the discovery of drug targets for improving human health.
