Cerebral Small Vessels in Motor and Cognitive Decline: Neuroimaging Signatures of Vulnerability & Resilience
Description: NARRATIVE Difficulty walking and cognitive impairment are common in aging and often associated with changes on brain imaging, but not everyone is afflicted equally. We propose to identify what brain imaging features distinguishes those who age with and without disability. Our findings will inform us about ways to maintain healthy brain aging and prevent dementia and falls.
