The Groningen-Jena Aging Meeting (G-JAM) 2023
Description: The increasing lifespan expectancy is accompanied by rise in the number of people worldwide with age-related diseases and frailty. We aim to understand the process of aging and mechanisms of resilience and use the knowledge to developed strategies to enable healthy aging. Instead of relying on treating isolated diseases, mounting resilience and/or delaying aging will delay age-related conditions altogether. The G-JAM meeting is part of a persistent world-wide effort to bring scientist together of different fields required to understand the ageing process and obtain insight in mechanisms of resilience in all its diversity.
