C-START Generate interoperable Cohort datasets and STimulate their use And Reuse to study multimorbidity in The Netherlands
Description: Cohort studies are champions of long-term health data collection. We aim to generate a reusable guideline to create interoperable datasets out of 11 cohort studies. Although sharing of privacy sensitive health data is a challenge, this will provide a first step to enable joined health data analysis among ~500.000 participants, and will form the basis for long-term, structural sharing of cohort data. The guideline will describe all process steps required to inventory, harmonise and combine these datasets, and will be applicable for multiple future research questions. As a proof of principle the guideline will be tested in a pilot study.
