Impact on the hearing by lack of mitochondrial tRNA modifier

Description: Auditory function and morphology of the inner ear were investigated at the stage of 1, 3, 5 and 12 months in cdk5rap1 deficient mice.Age-related hearing loss was progressed in cdk5rap1 deficient mice earlier than in control mice. Hair cell loss and spiral ganglion cell loss were not the same timing each other.
