Molecular mechanisms of Nutrient sensing in cancer

Description: PROJECT NARRATIVE Metabolic reprogramming is a hallmark of cancer that supports the rapid proliferation and survival of tumors. In this project, we propose to study a new signaling pathway that regulates fat usage in cancers, such as leukemia. A deeper knowledge of fat metabolism will provide a new biomarkers to predict fuel dependence in cancer, leading to improved targeted therapy.
