Neuroscience Research Training
Description: Project Narrative The core mission of the Stanford Neurosciences PhD training program is to foster development of the next generation of world leaders in neuroscience research, training, and outreach. Our program prepares students for careers in neuroscience by giving them tools to ask and answer questions about how the brain functions in health and disease, with vast implications for society ranging from treatments of neural diseases and disorders to implications for technology development, education, law, and the fundamental understanding of how our brains make us who we are. The diversity of research topics and faculty, the availability of novel technologies, the highly collaborative nature of the program, the innovative approach to curriculum, and the central role that students play in all aspects of their training are all unique aspects of the community and culture of the program.
