Interleaved TMS-fMRI for Hippocampal Stimulation: Modeling Dose-Response Relationship in Amnestic Mild Cognitive Impairment
Description: Project Narrative – Public Health Relevance Statement Neuromodulation through theta burst stimulation holds promise in improving memory function for individuals with amnestic mild cognitive impairment who have an increased risk of progression to Alzheimer’s disease. This project aims to maximize response to the theta burst stimulation and represents an important step in the clinical application of theta burst stimulation in the enhancement of memory performance and hippocampal function. Findings of the study may have a sustained and powerful impact on public health by determining the optimal dosing parameters for individuals with amnestic mild cognitive impairment.
