Risk Factors for Cvd in Women
Description: Narrative Circulating proteomic profiles are strongly influenced by diet and may act as important molecular transducers of the diet’s effects on coronary heart disease (CHD). Using exceptional resource from six independent and well-characterized prospective cohorts, the study proposes to perform proteome-wide study on the dynamic interrelations between diet (quality and circadian/temporal eating patterns), circulating proteome and its changes over 10 years, and CHD risk. We will also investigate the mediation effects of non-protein vascular risk factors, and multi-omics proteome-metabolome associations with CHD. Our findings are expected to provide novel insight into the mechanistic pathways, and advance the development of new preventive and therapeutic strategies.
