Nathan Shock Center for Excellence in Basic Biology of Aging
Description: PROJECT NARRATIVE OVERALL Human aging is influenced by genetics, the environment, and life history factors that together determine longevity and late life health. The Jackson Laboratory Nathan Shock Center (JAX NSC) will develop resources, including aged mouse models and human-relevant phenotyping methods for dissemination to the geroscience research community. We aim to increase availability and scope of these critical experimental systems to accelerate the pace of aging research that will ultimately support healthy human aging.
