Cancer Center Support (CORE) Grant
Description: PROJECT NARRATIVE OVERALL The greatest challenges to understanding and treating cancer are its genetic complexity, cellular heterogeneity, and association with aging. Propelled by our expertise in the integration of mouse and human biology, organismal and cellular models, and advanced genomic technologies empowered by intelligent computational systems, The Jackson Laboratory Cancer Center (JAXCC) seeks to uncover the mechanisms that drive the aging-associated cellular dysfunction, chronic inflammation, and immune dysfunction that contribute to cancer. We translate our findings to the clinic through new concepts, technologies, and clinical education initiatives originating from basic science to advance precision cancer medicine.
